It has been a while since I've updated this. I just had to post this video of Jessie from the other night. Her new thing is putting on her bug-a-boo (her tu-tu she wore for halloween as a ladybug) and twirling around or dancing as she says.

Today as soon as we got home she said mom i want bug-a-boo on and dance so we put it on and she came into the living room and said need music on! Oh how much I love her!

Fort Bragg

We went on our annual trip to Fort Bragg for David's birthday and Labor day weekend. We had a great time. David was bummed that he didn't get to go fishing since all fishing was closed but we still had fun and it was nice to get away from the heat for a few days. It was Jessie's first time and she had a blast.

Its been a while since Ive been on here and done a post.

Jessie is doing great. Growing and learning so much. She is talking A LOT. She is learning her ABC's I say them and she repeats now shes getting to where she will say the next letter before me . Super cute! She is becoming such a girlie girl has to have her purse when we go places, loves her babies, chap stick, lotion and one of her most favorites is her toenails painted. She goes the the cabinet where the polish is and says pretty toes!!

For Easter we went to a family reunion for the Whitlock Family at the Paskenta hall. It was really nice to see some of the family the we haven't seen for awhile. And to meet some that I had never met before.

Jessie had a blast and went non stop all day with no nap and was still just as happy as can be.

We didn't leave until about 8:30 and as soon as we starting driving she was out!

This is what she looked like by the end of the day. She was covered in dirt from head to toe and chocolate on her face.

And not long before we left she ended up in this puddle of pine sol water. I had been watching her and keeping her away from it but I wasn't quite fast enough this time. Her ball rolled into it so she walked in it to get the ball and fell so she just sat there. Oh well cleaned her off a little.

Since Jess is still a little young for coloring eggs with dye I got some washable markers and just let her color them. She had fun but would rather throw the eggs thinking they were a ball.

I know its been awhile so heres a little bit of whats going on and pics from the last month.

I feel that I am so lucky to have found Jessie's daycare provider Marjorie. Jessie is so well taken care of and absolutely spoiled. She gets so excited in the morning when i ask her if she wants to go to Nana's and she knows when we pull up to her house and really gets excited. She gets right out of the car and I can barley get the door open fast enough for her to get in.

I went to pick her up one day after work and when I got there Marj told me that Jessie went poo in the potty!! I was so excited I had kept talking about getting her a potty to start getting the idea in her head. Of course the one I got she doesn't like I need to get the same one she has,but anyhow She puts her on the potty at about the same time every morning which is around the same time that she goes. So far she has only gone the one time but that's ok its a start. I know that when we really start potty training Marj is going to be a great help!!

while at work we kept hearing there was severe weather alerts out and I was keeping my finger crossed that I could get home before it hit. Luckily I did. David had kept Jessie home with him so I didn't have to stop and get her. When I got home I walked in the door and no more than a minute later it starting coming down. Some of the biggest hail I have ever seen. We all just sat and watched it especially Jessie, she wasn't too sure what was going on.

Today was such a nice day so after Jessie woke up from her 3 hour nap (Yes 3 HOURS!!) We went for another walk with the wagon which she still loves!

We stopped to see the pig, goats, and sheep on our walk

There was a kitty cat roaming around and she kept looking for it.

She says kitty over and over pointing at it

We walked a little further and Daddy was coming home so he stopped and talked to us and we walked over to see the horses.

She wasn't to sure about them

Then on the way back home one of the other horses came to the fence to say hi and she liked him since there was a fence between them.

This is how she sat the rest of the way home just as happy as can be talking and making noises the whole way.

The other night I was sitting on the couch watching TV waiting for David to get home. Jessie was sitting on the floor playing with her little play phone. All of the sudden I realized it was really quite and I wasn't hearing her phone. I peeked down at her and this is what I saw...

...Passed out!! I lost my camera so I just took this one with my phone so its not the greatest, but its just too funny. Kinda reminds me of her dad when he falls asleep on the couch! ;)

Today I bought Jessie this little microphone. Its Hannah Montana and it plays music when you press the button. She loves it and didn't want to let go of it she even slept the whole way home from town with it in her hand. She dances to it and holds it up to her mouth like she singing I don't know if she knows what she doing but its cute. She's just so cute!
I was going to take a pic of her standing and she had it in her hand....

..and she started to step!!
She took 3 steps and fell I stood her back up and she took 3 more then the next time 5 and just kept going. I think the most she took was like 10 but now that she knows how it wont be long and she will be gone!

So as I had mentioned in a previous post Jessie no longer takes a bottle only a sippy cup. She didn't know how to tip it up to get anything though so she would only get air if she was sitting up So I would have to help her and hold it up. Well she finally figured it out. Shes so smart and getting so big!

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Sac for the weekend since David actually had a 3 day weekend. Woo Hoo! It was nice, but kinda sad since it will probably be the last time.

David wanted to go to his favorite restaurant Red Robin so we took mom with us since dad was working.

On Sunday Dad and David were working on the fence so mom was going to make Davis some ice tea. Well she forgot to put ice in the jug before adding the boiling tea and this was the result

Things have still been pretty busy. David is done working on fires but is now working far from home and is staying on the job so once again Jess and I are taking care of everything so I haven't had much time to stay updated.

Jessie is doing great! Growing so fast of course. She thinks that she needs to walk ALREADY! She has a toy that she pushes all over the place. And she has been letting go while standing up to things. It wont be long! She still loves to eat and feed herself and she no longer will take a bottle only a sippy cup!

Jessie's new thing is wanting to feed herself. Everytime I feed her she is reaching for either the spoon or bowl so I decided what the heck shes got to at some point learn how. We usually let her with not so messy foods but shes got to learn how to eat it all so when she was eating her mac n cheese I just let her have it. She just squished it around in her hands. She had fun and the mess wasn't all that bad I just but her in the bath and wiped up her tray. She loves it!!

Davids mom Jenny and step-dad Bret just moved over here ( Orland) from the coast last weekend. Jessie and I went to check out their new house and hang out and visit since David was STILL gone. The ranch that they moved to has two houses and a pool. The pool is not at the house they moved into but they are still able to use it. so since it was a hot day the guys were hot from moving everything when they were done we all went over and went swimming. Jessie had a blast watching the boys swim and it was nice to relax and hang out.

I haven't done a post for a while been pretty busy. David has been gone again on fire duty. Now he is just doing the mop up, blading all the roads that took a beating with all the traffic, but it still keeps him away from home. So I have just been busy with Jessie and taking care of all the chores here on the ranch. Here are a bunch of pictures from the last week or so.

She hasn't been sleeping very well (due to her teeth I'm sure) so I decided I would get her nice and tired so hopefully she would sleep good. Well she got nice and tired alright she didn't even make it through all her dinner she feel asleep as she was eating. she was out cold! She didn't sleep great that night, but better than she had been.

Last Sunday David Jessie and I drove down and met Mom and Dad at Granzellas to check it out since it re-opened and have lunch. While walking through looking at everything Dad and David got side tracked watching the nascar race and we were standing right next to a hat rack so I picked this one up and put it on Jessie she actually liked it and thought it was pretty funny.

Jessie absolutely LOVES to eat!! And she eats well. We went to dinner last night since Davis was finally home and when we got our food we shared with her. French fries, tomatoes, pickle, Chicken...just a little bit of everything. David and I were able to finish our meals and she was still sitting there chowing down. I don't think she will be picky that me, I think she is going to be like her daddy and like everything!

Cutting Teeth

Jessie has been trying to cut her teeth for what seems like forever now. The Dr. as been teeling me for 2 months that they are right there and so close but then they drop back down and dont come through. Anything she can get her hands on goes straight to the mouth. These are some ofthe faces that she is constantly making...

...And then last Wednsday(July 9) when we got home from work as I was getting her out of the car I saw that her tooth had finally broke through!! it must have happened sometime throughout the day because I check every morning.

For the 4Th Jessie and I went to Redding for Kiersten's birthday and since David was still gone on a fire we stayed the whole weekend. Friday we went to Kiersten's birthday party and after that was over we all went and had a BBQ and went swimming. We had planned to go to the fireworks show but it was canceled due to all of the fires. On Saturday we all went to Turtle Bay the kids all had a blast, except for Jessie who slept most of the time. After turtle bay we all went swimming again and hung out with the family. Then Sunday everyone else had left except for Jessie and I who stayed until evening since we had nothing to rush home for so it was just a lazy day. It was so nice to see all of the family and relax. Just too bad David wasn't there :(

So as you all know today is mine and David's 1 year anniversary....ALREADY....Where has this past year gone!?!? And as you know David is still gone working on a fire. Mom and Dad sent me some beautiful flowers to work...THANK YOU! Jess and I came home and just hung out after doing our chores and she was just being so cute, which of course helped make my day better.

Well David got called to go on a fire on wed night and I really don't like staying out at the ranch by myself after dark let alone all night! Jessie and I stayed there that night and of course were fine I'm just a wuss. Not only that the smoke was soo thick I had to turn the swamp cooler off because it was just pulling the smoke in and when its off it gets up to between 80 and 90 degrees in our house so I decided to pack everything up and head to Sac. Of course mom and dad didn't mind getting to spend time with Jessie. And of course Jessie LOVES all the attention. Here are some pics from the weekend...

She has learned while down visiting that she can pull herself up and stand against things

She decided that she was going to try and let go while she was standing it wont be much longer and she will have here balance down and then look out she will be gone. We are in trouble!

She was trying to stand up to the door but there was nothing to grab on to. She ended up tipping over and land on the floor but she didn't mind she just tried again.

Country Life

Oh the joys of living in the country... There are some thing's I love about it no neighbors, peace and quiet no sirens or traffic, beautiful scenery, looking out the door or window and being able to see things like this....Two Doe's right out the front door

So I finally put Jessie's high chair together last weekend. Shes been eating rice cereal for a while now and now she is starting fruits and veggies. I was just putting her in her bumbo chair to feed her but I figured it was time for the high chair. We have had it since she was born just never put it together so since it was just Jess and I home on Sat. I decided to do it. I'm glad I did. She LOVES it!! She thinks she is such a big girl. Its also nice because I can put her in it with some toys while I cook dinner or do the dishes and she can play and watch what I'm doing at the same time.

We went to the bar for breakfast and decided to try her in the highchair there and she loved it. We put her up to the table and she just kept hitting it and of coursed trying to grab everything. She sat there almost the whole time. It was nice to be able to enjoy a meal.

We were just playin on the floor and Miss Jessie was being so silly making faces and smiling so I grabbed the camera and started taking pics. It was the funniest thing every time I would hold up the camera she would smile. When I would put it down she would scream and start to cry and get cranky. Id hold it up and take another pic and tell her to say cheeeessseee and she would just smile. It makes ME smile just thinking about it. She is growing so fast and she is getting so much more fun with each new stage that she reaches. I just love her SOOO Much!!

Jessie absolutely loves the cat! Hes likes her too he thinks hes getting love so he doesn't mind. Other than when she grabs a hold and doesn't let go. She did that the other morning and he started clawing...of course I freaked out and ran over to her. He left a tiny little scratch on her arm, but it didn't faze her at all. It freaked me out more than her. So now I have to make sure I watch really close when he gets near her.

Ok so one more for today. I got started and just cant stop! ;)

So Jessie has learned to roll over and her new thing is wiggling and scooting everywhere. The only thing is she only knows how to scoot backwards. I put her down for bed on night and when I went to check on her she ad rolled over and wiggled her way down to the bottom of the crib and she was right up against the side you couldn't hardly see her

The next day I put her down for a nap and it was chilly so I covered her up. When she woke up I went to get her and this was how I found her...Under the covers So of course I had to grab the camera

I'm sure shes thinking "What are you doing mom?"

Jessie's 1st fair

So we decided to go to the Glenn County fair over the weekend. It was really hot, but we went anyways. We figured if Jess got too fussy we could just leave. She did so good. She just hung out in her stroller and watched everything that was going on. Surprisingly she even took a few naps and never fussed even though she was really hot and sweaty. Shes such a good baby.

We sat in the shade for a while and watched a magic show (a pretty lame one, kinda felt bad for the guy) and there was a clown sitting behind us. I was curious to see how Jessie would react to him., When she spotted him she just starred...he started talking to her a honking his horn and that made her smile. She really liked him.

She was getting pretty hot and wore out so we decided it was time to go home. Overall she did great for her first time at the fair.

Ok So Tamara told me I needed to start one of these blog things and I've been wanting to I just haven't had the time to sit down and figure it out. Today I had a little extra time and so here it is. I know that this is a much easier way to keep everyone updated on whats going on and how Jessie is doing and of course all the pictures ( hopefully I can keep it updated).
